Last month I visited the Briggs & Little Woolen Mill, which is the oldest vertical woolen mill in Canada and located about 45 minutes outside of Fredericton, in York Mills, NB. As a knitter, their tour has been on my to-do list since moving back to New Brunswick, yet somehow I didn’t check beforehand to ensure that the mill was actually operational (it wasn’t – they don’t process wool in the hot summer months). I was disappointed, until the woman at the counter said I could check out the empty workshop by myself. I just about died of glee.
…I still need to go back when the mill is operational, though. Until then.
