Found! A folder of “behind the scenes” photos from Meaghan & Kelly’s New Year’s Eve wedding, which I will share for you now.
My wedding days start with a nice, refreshing Diet Coke. Funny story: I was in the middle of texting AG asking him to bring one to me, when he knocked on the door and held one out to me. Like a well-oiled machine, we are.
Dear Diet Coke: call me.
Fun is had while shooting the guys and gals getting ready at the Crowne Plaza:
AG caught this one of me… and yes I had to stand on a chair to avoid getting the dreaded “up the nose” angle on the tall Hughes men!
We arrive at the church about 30 minutes before the ceremony is due to start, to get organized and grab some scene-setting images of guests arriving and the bridal party getting ready. AG finds his spot at the back to capture the girls walking in.
After the ceremony I roll with the bridal party to the portrait location. AG sees this:
I see this:
It was a freezing day, and I would never laugh at him for jovially following along in our car while I ride in the limo. Except yes, I would. We got some shots outdoors, and then it was off to Brewbakers for some quiet time amongst the bridal party, a cocktail or two, and a few more portraits, too. AG is always on Test The Light duty…
Then off to the reception! After the speeches and dinner, it’s time for one of my favourite parts of any wedding: the dancing! I like to get right in there…
But working with a large group in a tight space sometimes means contortions:
And eventually, it’s time to break down my lighting equipment and head home!
At home I posted a teaser image on Facebook for the couple to find, and AG & I had a couple of beers and toasted to the New Year.
